Competition with design hoch drei and mehrwert

The city of Stuttgart intends to open a city museum in the existing Wilhelmspalais on Charlottenplatz by the end of 2012. Therefore the city launched a Europe-wide architectural competition.

schneider+schumacher participated in collaboration with "design hoch drei" and "Multimedia-Agentur mehrwert" and – despite strong competition – made it through to the second stage. The concept focuses on the city as the habitat of people, envisaging the museum as a lively place for cultural exchange. Visitors can enter into a dialogue with the city, explore and understand it.
