In Vienna, at Bernreiterplatz and Jedlersdorfer Straße, 65 owner-occupied apartments are being built under the project name “Schöneck 13”. These have been commissioned by BUWOG and are designed by schneider+schumacher Wien. Given the size of the plot it was important to create a visual rhythm for the elongated building and this was achieved through precisely arranging various building components, such as dormers. Apartments on the ground floor have private gardens facing the inner courtyard, and on Jedlersdorfer Strasse, front gardens too. On the first floor and in the lower of the two attic storeys, apartments extend longitudinally, following the contours of the façade. Depending on type and level, they have loggias, balconies or terraces. At second attic storey level, one staircase provides access to two apartments, each with a terrace overlooking the courtyard. Occupants are due to move into the project in 2022.
