“House of Philanthropy” reopens its doors

The children’s aid organisation Plan International Deutschland is now back in their offices in Hamburg, just nine months after a complete and fundamental energy-efficient restructuring of the building was begun.

The comprehensive modernisation work included the installation of energy-efficient windows, a centralised heating plant and a photovoltaic system. The interiors, roofs and outer walls of the building also underwent total renovation.

The mayor of Hamburg, Olaf Scholz, together with Dr. Werner Bauch, CEO of Plan International Deutschland and Maike Röttger, manager of Plan International Deutschland, opened the new “House of Philanthropy” in Hamburg on 29.08.2013. Plan International Deutschland is also now offering the “House of Philanthropy” as an event location.
