New corporate structure

Till Schneider and Michael Schumacher are not planning a classic retirement – even 35 years after founding their office together, they remain passionate architects. At the same time, they are keen to secure the long-term future of the office with over 150 employees at five locations. After many discussions with the managing partners and external consultants, the following model has emerged:
The business divisions Architecture (A), Construction and Project Management (B), Urban Design (S), Building Transformation (W), Design (D) and International (I), which also includes our two Chinese locations, now form a Stock Corporation. The Supervisory Board consists of Lucia Mathée and Peter Figge and is chaired by Karsten Tichelmann. All management, executive and project management functions in the individual divisions remain unchanged. In addition to their previous responsibilities, Till Schneider and Michael Schumacher will also assume equal roles on the Management Board. The shareholder structure comprises three groups:
– the Founders: Till Schneider and Michael Schumacher
– the Partners: Maximilian Büschl, Gordan Dubokovic, Kai Otto, Christian Simons, Nan Wang, Joachim Wendt, Astrid Wuttke and
– FUTUR: Future selected employees
The purpose of this model is, with the right mix of experience and openness to the future, to enable a continual process of change and renewal that does justice to the goal of shaping the built environment in an inspired, creative and sustainable way.
