The World’s 12 Most Spectacular Modern Churches

Contemporary churches can be just as much a source of wonder as their centuries-old precursors. Elizabeth Stamp, the Editor at Architectural Digest magazine has compiled an online article listing the twelve most spectacular modern churches in the world. Each of them demonstrates how traditional elements of church architecture are adopted and reinterpreted. One of these singled-out buildings is the Siegerland Motorway Church by schneider+schumacher, a three-dimensional interpretation of a church pictogram. The other spectacular church buildings are located in South Korea, Taiwan, Japan, Mexico, Brazil, Scandinavia and Portugal.
