Art installation at the Instituto Cervantes

The Guest of Honour at this year’s Frankfurt Book Fair 2022 was Spain. To mark the occasion the artist Alicia Martín created a sculpture on the Spanish wall for the Instituto Cervantes, using books to create a vortex that signifies how knowledge is in a constant state of flux. The Spanish wall was established in the course of the renovation work on the listed building undertaken by schneider+schumacher. In 2008, following meticulous renovation work, the former Amerika Haus was handed over to the Spanish Cultural Institute Cervantes.
