Once again this year, new building projects nationwide can be visited during the Architecture Days on June 25 and 26 and this time – following two years of only digital and hybrid formats – in person. Organized by the architectural chambers of the federal states, architects and clients will present their new buildings, renovations and conversions – ranging from private houses to office buildings and open spaces – all under the motto “Architecture builds the future.”
In Rhineland-Palatinate, some 60 projects are participating. Details of these are listed on the website of the Chamber of Architects, including opening times and locations. Two of schneider+schumacher’s projects will be showcased: the shimmering golden residential building PANDION DOXX at Mainz Zollhafen with its 168 apartments and double-X floor plan, as well as Kaiserslautern’s district administration offices. There, the natural stone façade with its pivoting windows – typical of the period – has been renovated in keeping with listed building stipulations and current energy and construction regulations.
